It is hard to believe I have only been touring for 19 days and Vic and I have travelled just under 4500 km to get here to Katima Mulilo. This is my last stop before I cross into Zambia tomorrow.  Namibia has been a wonderful experience. The country is big in space and even bigger in heart. The people that I have come across have been nothing less than gracious, kind and so hospitable. It is a fantastic country to be experienced slowly .

I am spending the night at Caprivi Boathouse Safari Lodge that is right on the mighty Zambezi. It  has such a chilled feeling I hope I don’t drop off while updating the blog.  My ride today was fairly interesting –  a total of around 312 km of which about 190 km involved the scooter and I riding through the National Park along the Trans – Caprivi highway, passing warning signs about elephants and hyenas. The  only game I saw came at me on  those  signs .

I have been told the road from here to Livingstone is very bad and have been advised to go through Botswana and then take the ferry across to Zambia,  leaving me with only a short distance to travel to get to Livingstone. I will do further investigation around the camp to  see if the detour is worth it.

Tomorrow brings a new country and a new chapter. I am looking forward to the new experience.

Until we meet again
